Ireland: Cork Airport's main runway will remain closed until 4pm today as a result of the horrific plane crash which killed six people.

The commuter plane carrying 10 passengers and two crew was attempting to land for the third time after flying from Belfast City airport.

Aer Lingus has diverted most flights to and from Cork to Shannon airport but has cancelled four departures, the E712 to Heathrow, the 3832 to Glasgow and the 822/3 return flight to Paris. Bus transfers are being provided from Shannon to Cork.

Aer Lingus Regional flights, operated by Aer Arann, are also diverting to Shannon.
