Singapore Changi arport registered 3.39 million passenger movements in February 2011

Singapore: 3.39 million passenger movements in February 2011  registered by Singapore Changi Airport, this figure is up 9.1 per cent compared to a year ago. Strong travel demand over the Lunar New Year holiday was boosted by  passenger traffic.Which that  year was spread over a long weekend  traffic to these regions increasing by double digits with Southeast and Northeast Asia continued to be the growth drivers 22,000 flights in February this year handled by  Changi Airport.  As per the release, an increase of 12.2 per cent year-on-year. Out of these some 6,200 flights 28 percent,  were flown by Low Cost Carriers (LCCs).

Tiger Airways increased flights to Bangkok, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Ho Chi Minh City, Macau, and Manila. AirAsia increased frequencies to Penang and Miri, while Thai AirAsia started a new daily service to Chiang Mai. Inspit of this  ten additional weekly  services to Kuala Lumpur firefly also introduced  to Pekanbaru, the
capital of Indonesia‚Äôs province Riau, and the Malaysia Singapore Changi Airport resort island of Redang became new city links up . There are  two destinations respectively  services started named was SilkAir and Berjaya Air. South American  will be connected to the Singapore Changi Airport.

Singapore Airlines begins thrice-weekly services to Sao Paulo via Barcelona on March 28, 2011 which continent for the first time in Singapur  airlines.128,048 tonnes of cargo handled by Changi Airport  in February 2011. The Lunar New Year holidays  a decline of 1.9 per cent compared to a year ago.  275,272 tonnes of cargo handled by Changi Airpor in the first two months of the year, an increase of 1.3 per cent compared to 2010. Shipment to and from Europe and Americas contributed to the growth in airfreight
