The French welcome nearly 70 million visitors annually - there is so much to see. The world's number one tourist destination, France is a country of contrasts with a multitude of landscapes, offering holidays to suit all tastes and budgets. Geography
The largest country of Europe, France is surrounded by both land and water on all sides. The France Geography gives one a complete idea of the country's unique location and its physical features. France is located in Western Europe. It is bordered by the English Channel and the Atlantic Ocean on its northern and western sides, respectively. To the northeast of the country lies Belgium and Luxembourg while to the east we have Germany, Switzerland and Italy. The Mediterranean Sea lies to the south of France while Spain and Andorra lies to the southwest. The country offers a spectacular variety of scenery, from the mountain ranges of the Alps and Pyrenees to the attractive river valleys of the Loire, Rhône and Dordogne and the flatter countryside in Normandy and on the Atlantic coast. The country has some 2,900km (1,800 miles) of coastline.

Festival
France, which is a popular West European country, holds the reputation of celebrating some unique French festivals. In almost all part of the year, the Festivals in France offer something new to the revelers. This beautiful country dresses itself in new attires, every time new festivals take place. The enthusiasm and excitement attached with the France festivals is worth watching. Since Christianity is the main religion of the country hence Christian festivals are widely celebrated. New Year's Day, Easter, Ascension Day, Pentecost, Assumption of Mary, All Saints Day, Armistice Day and Christmas are the most popular festivals in France.

Language
France is always among the top choices as a favorite tourist destination. There are many different languages that the residents of the country speak and communicate in. France is a country where there is a heterogeneous mix of people. France has a rich and diverse culture, and so there are several languages being spoken in different regions of the country. French is the official language of France and by far the most widely spoken language in the country. French is also spoken in parts of Belgium and Switzerland, and former French colonies, including French Guiana, northwestern Africa, Indochina, Haiti, Madagascar, and parts of Canada. There are 75 languages in France that are officially recognized. French is the official language of the country.

Economy
France is one of the most powerful countries of the world. The country is a member of the European Union. Today, the Economy and Politics of France play a pivotal role in shaping the fate of the world at large. France is now one of the most advanced economies in terms of transportation, telecommunications and high-tech industries. The country’s strong economy, political balance, strategic location, high productivity and competitive labour rates all contribute to its appeal.
