Canada: A plane crash near Springdale airport injures two men.

Police Lt. Kevin Lewis says the crash occurred around 5:00 p.m. just north of the airport's runway. According to Lewis, both of the men were taken to Northwest Medical Center in Springdale.

The men have reportedly been identified as 53 year old Barry Gilbow of Fayetteville, and his passenger, 46 year old Shane Crawford of Springdale.

Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Lynn Lunsford says the charter plane was a single engine Cessna 152 that apparently was about to land. Lunsford says the passenger told authorities the plane had engine trouble immediately before the crash.

Lunsford says it's still unclear where the flight originated.
