Palusami, or lu'au is the most popular dishes of American Samoa, and another common traditional dish is supoesi, a breakfast soup made from pawpaw fruit and coconut cream. Papayas, mangoes, pineapple and coconut are the fruits grown throughout the country. fruits are eaten at breakfast in Samoa, onion  is the popular Vegetable and become favored ingredient in traditional and modern cuisine. Variety of Chinese food is also available in a few places and there are snack and light meal restaurants in Apia serving fast food and other Western food.

Habits and Norms
Elders and guests always be served first, children and woman eat later. Earlier meals were taken at midmoring and evening but now three meals are daily.

National Drink
National drink of American Samoa is Kava and is often drunk in sacred ceremonies. kava is a solemn sacred ceremony, and drink is made from the roots of a local pepper plant.
