Day 01: Arrive Rio De Janeiro – Sugar Loaf Mountain
Arrive at Rio De Janeiro International airport, you will be met by our local representative and transfered to hotel Miramar or similar. Check in at hotel. Deaprt for a half day tour of Sugar Loaf mountain. Drive along the beaches to the northern parts of Rio with a stop at „Sambodromo the purposed built stadium where the samba schools perform during the carnival. Then pass by the biggest soccer stadium in the world, Maracana, with a capacity of 80,000 spectators. The tour continues to the downtown area, which is the business heart of Rio but it is also where the historical sites of Rio are. Pass by the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Muncipal theatre and the main avenue of Rio Branco before leaving the downtown area towards Sugar Loaf. Passing through the Flamengo Park and Botafogo before arriving to Urca and the cable car station to the Syugar Loaf. Bu cable car to the first stage, the Morro da Urca mountain (220 meters). Walk to the other side of the mountain to take the next cable car to Sugar Loaf (395 meters). During your visit, enjoy a Caipirinha, Brazilian national drink. Some time at leisure and then retun to ground level. Transfer back to the hotel. Welcome dinner at the hotel. Overnight at Hotel Miramar or similar.
Day 02: Rio De Janeiro - Half Day Tour to Corcovado
After buffet breakfast, w e proceed to Corcovado railway station at the foot of the Corcovado mountain. Take a 3.5 km (25 minutes) train ride through the lush mountain greenery to the top of the mountain. Walk 222 steps from the train station to the 38 meter high statue of Christ The Redeemer, 710 meters above sea level. Time is at leisure over here. Take the train back to Corcovado railway station. The tour passes through the “Reboucas” tunnel, passing by the lake “Rodrigo de Freitas”, through the tunnel “Two Brothers”, the living area of Sao Conrado and onto Barra da Tijuca, Rio s fastest and newest, living area. Drive along the beaches of Barra da Tijuca, Sao Conrado, Leblon, Ipanema and Copacabana. Return back to the hotel in the evening. Dinner is at a Hindu Chinese restaurant (walking distance – 1 block). Overnight at Hotel Miramar or similar.
Day 03: Rio De Janeiro – Day at leisure After buffet breakfast, the day is at leisure to enjoy the beaches of Ipanema or Copacabana, the sidewalk cafes and Rio s exciting night life. Overnight at Hotel Miramar or similar.
Day 04: Rio De Janeiro – Iguassu (Brazilian Side)
After breakfast, check out and transfer to the airport to board your flight to Iguassu. Arrive at Iguassu (Brazilian side) and transfer to Hotel Bristol Viale Cataratas. Dinner at the hotel. Overnight at Hotel Bristol Viale Cataratas or similar.
Day 05: Iguassu (Brazilian Side) – Iguassu (Argentina Side) – Buenos Aires
After breakfast, pick up from the hotels located in the area between the National Park and the city and in the city of Foz do Iguacu and transfer to the border of Brazil and Argentina. 5-15 kms from the hotel, crossing the Iguacu river by the 489 meter long Tancredo Neves bridge. From the border proceed to the falls on the Argentinian side, about 15 kms. Arrive at the falls and walk along special pathways and bridges which bring you very close to some of the falls. From the Argentinian side, one has a nice view of San Martin Island and Brazil. There are two pathways. The upper one takes about 30 minutes and is 700 meters long and the lower one is 1.5 kms long and takes 1 to 2 hours. Then transfer to Iguassu Argentinian airport to take flight to Buenos Aires. Arrive at Buenos Aires and transfer to hotel Amerian. Overnight at Hotel American or similar.
Day 06: Buenos Aires
After breakfast, proceed for half day city tour of Buenos Aires. We will visit Avenida de Mayo that runs into the Plaza De Mayo, which is surrounded by the Casa Rosada (Government House), the Metropolitan Cathedral and the Cabildo (first City Hall, built during Spanish rule). At the other end of Avenida de Mayo, you will find the Congress building. Then we continue to San Telmo, the best kept historical neighbourhood and eldest district of the city. Here you have time to stroll around Plaza Dorrego, where you can find many antique shops. On Sunday s, Plaza Dorrego, is a MUST, as an antique market takes place. You will also find couples doing the Tango dance on the streets. Next stop is La Boca, a most colourful area. Then apss Colon theatre, one of the world s best known opera houses and the cultural pride of the “portenos”. We continue to Palermo with its beautiful parks, the City Zoo, Botanical Gardens, Argentine Horse track and National Polo Fields. Palermo is well known for its artificial lakes. At the end of the tour, visit Recoleta area, one of the city s glamorous spots. Here you will find the Muncipal Cultural Centre, elegant boutiques and excellent restaurants surrounded by many trees. Enjoy an unforgettable evening at one of the Tango shows that the city offers every night. Delectable food served with superlative wines and a brilliant ambience, enhance the show. Ther performance features many professional artists, outstanding musicians, dancers and singers. Dinner and overnight at Hotel American or similar.
Day 07: Buenos Aires – at leisure After breakfast rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at Hotel American or similar.
Day 08: Depart Buenos Aires After breakfast, we transfer you to the airport for your departure flight.
