Czech Republic, a country located in central Euro, celebrates Liberation Day on 8th of March every year.

Liberation Day is locally known as Den vítezství or Den osvobození; it marks the end of World War II in Europe which ended on the same date in 1945. Wreath-laying ceremonial are held during the celebration of Liberation Day in Czech. The president of the country spearheads the celebration by visiting war memorials to remember and pay respect to those who perished during the Second World War. Some of the most popular memorial spots in Prague are the National Memorial on Vitkov, Karlovy Vary, Hradec Kralove, and Ceska Lipa.
