Since Moi’s retirement in 2002, Moi’s day has been observed event without the traditional military marches, fly-overs and traditional choirs. Instead of his normal address to the nation preceded by festivities, President Moi chose to spend his time on a low key visit to a home for the disabled near Nairobi.
