Italy is one of the most visited countries in Europe. Pisa, Rome, Venice and Florence are the most famous Italy destinations. The geographical features of Italy are varied; the south-western corner of the country is enveloped by Tyrrhenian Sea, while Adriatic Sea takes care of its north-eastern parts. The south-eastern Ionian Sea and the Ligurian Sea located in north-west Italy encircle the country from al possible sides and act as a shield of safety for Italy.


Italy is a country which celebrates some unique festivals and events. There are literally hundreds of festivals across Italy each and every year! Many are medieval and cultural festivals whose origins extend back hundreds and even thousands of years, while some are of a more recent invention. Italian is the official language of Italy, and 93% of population are native Italian speakers. Around 50% of population speak a regional dialect as mother tongue. The largest group of non-Italian speakers are those who speak Sardinian, a Romance language, which retains many pre-Latin words. Some of the other languages spoken in pockets are German, French and Slovene.


Italy's economy is a diversified industrial economy. The Economy in Italy is multifarious in nature with almost the same total and per capita yield as Great Britain or France. Economy in Italy in the southern regions is little less developed compared to the industrial north, owing to the extensive agricultural activities carried out by a section of the country's population. This is an area which is responsible for unemployment of more than 20 percent.

In years, the Economy in Italy has prospered to the extent that it is capable of importing maximum raw materials as well as 75 percent of the energy requisites of the country. It works extensively to encourage employment, support labor flexibility, restructure their costly pension systems, thereby handling well, the economy of Italy on an unofficial level. It is largest producer of rice, fruits and vegetable in Europe and ranks second in the world for exporting wine. The luxury goods industry is an important sector.
