Greece : A 19-year-old British tourist has been knifed to death in a holiday resort in Greece after becoming involved in an argument with two taxi drivers.Four other Britons, all in their twenties, were wounded in the fight, which happened around 4.30am on Wednesday after the tourists allegedly started shining laser pens in the eyes of the cab drivers, aged 21 and 25, on the Ionian island of Zakynthos, south of Corfu.
The Britons were sitting in a fast food restaurant across the street from where taxis were waiting for customers outside a nightclub. The attack took place in the holiday town of Laganas resort, which is popular with British tourists.

One of the drivers is alleged to have pulled out a knife during the argument and to have fatally stabbed the 19-year-old man, who is understood to be from Basingstoke, in the heart.
"He used a knife and stabbed all five. One of them died, the other four were hospitalised," said a police official, declining to be named.

The taxi driver reportedly threw the weapon into the sea but it was later recovered by police.
"One of the taxi drivers confessed and showed police where the knife was," the official said.
He was arrested at his home a few hours later, and the second driver was arrested as an accomplice to the crime.

The four injured Britons were rushed to hospital. One was in a serious condition and underwent surgery for stab wounds to the chest and neck.
The other three also had injuries but they were not life-threatening.

“The family of the deceased have said they do not want their son’s name released,” an official at the British embassy in Athens told The Daily Telegraph.
“Laganas is popular with young tourists, not just British, and we’ve had some trouble there before but nothing as bad as this.”
